Welcome to Bricolage house!

Bricolage House is a website that houses my MFA/IA portfolio from Goddard College. The site's interactive design allows you, the viewer, to explore the seven rooms of the house, each of which contain hidden documentation of my artistic and academic explorations. Some of these videos, sound bites, and photographs stand on their own, while other projects will be introduced to you by the family of Bricolage House. Each of these family members represent an aspect of my identity; their personalities and ideas sometimes in perfect agreement, and sometimes not. You will find their portraits and introductions in the hallway. From the hallway, you can enter any of the other rooms in Bricolage house, navigating easily between rooms through the navigation bar at the top of the page or by clicking on the doors at the bottom of each page (a more whimsical approach). Once you have entered, you can explore each room by carefully scrolling over its objects. If you see a key pop up over an image, you have found a link. Click on it, and you will catch a glimpse of my recent explorations.  Be careful— some of the links are hard to spot! Many of the rooms connect to other rooms through doors, windows, or other portals. However, if at any time you wish to return to a previous room or jump ahead, simply scroll down underneath the picture of the room to the image of the door. Clicking on the arrow buttons on either side of the door will allow you to access (and enter through) any door you like.

The guidebook is a separate page- accessed by clicking on the guidebook icon at the top left of select pages.  This page contains both critical writing and creative reflection on the projects within the rooms, and you will find that most of the creative work within the portfolio has a correlating section within the guidebook.

Throughout my time as a graduate student, my advisors kept pointing out the importance of moving towards DELIGHT, and it is in this playful spirit that Bricolage House was conceived of and designed. It is my hope that it serves as a dynamic and engaging window into my creative practices. Enjoy!
